Nature is deteriorating globally and biodiversity is declining faster than at any time in human history. There is growing evidence that this poses risks for businesses, capital providers, financial systems and economies, and that these risks are increasing in severity and frequency. Despite the risks and opportunities, most companies and capital providers remain unprepared. 

This course is an introduction to the foundations of nature, business and finance. Including understanding nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. Aimed at both private- and public-sector economic and financial decision makers, the course aims to build a foundational understanding of this topic.

The course comprises 3 modules:

• Module 1: The economic and financial relevance of nature.
• Module 2: Introduction to nature-related risks and opportunities.
• Module 3: The bigger picture.

To receive the certificate of course completion, participants must complete:

• All online lessons
• All quizzes with a score of 60% or higher
• The course survey

Once you complete the course requirements, the certificate of course completion will be generated.
