Held from 11-13 June in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the 2025 UNDP Financial Resilience in Agriculture (FRA) Community of Practice (CoP) brought together over 100 participants from 24 countries to accelerate government-led agricultural insurance agendas. Co-hosted by UNDP and the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture, the event focused on institutionalizing insurance within national systems, scaling sustainable financing models and fostering peer learning. Ethiopia’s launch of the Rural Finance Service Unit was a key milestone, and country delegates explored strategies to embed insurance into food systems and financial policies.
